About Nutrition

Our healthy eating meets nutritional guidelines.

Our menu is rotational monthly plan where we provide Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and a Late Snack.

Our options provide children with opportunities to experience healthy nutritious meals. We have created our menu with the input of family feedback on meals that the children enjoy. Our Centre Chef cooks fresh hot meals daily for the children.

These experiences build on their love for food and encourage children to expand their taste buds. Our menu is culturally inclusive. We cater to all allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements. Please ensure you discuss any dietary requirements with management upon enrolment and orientation.

About Nutrition

From our village garden to our tummies!

Scoresby Village take great pride in our veggie garden and children taking responsibility with sustainability.

We grow vegetables that our children take responsibility of and have such fun doing so. Not only do we grow our own vegetables we have a worm farm that we feed our scraps too. Our worms produce juice that is then put back into the garden and it is liquid magic!!! Our families also take home the worm juice to use on their gardens at home. Our Kinder’s encourage their families to take this home as they are so proud of all their efforts!

We have taken the time to create a menu with child and family input. Our Centre Chef cooks fresh hot meals daily for the children. This way we ensure all children’s favourite meals are incorporated within our 4 weekly rotating menu, family style! Our menu is culturally inclusive. We cater to all allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements. Please ensure you discuss any dietary requirements with management upon enrolment and orientation.

Once a week our Kinder children have the responsibility of cooking their own lunch. This is a great way to get children involved as this involves not only cooking skills but maths, solving problems and being part of group activities.

Some of our lunch items that you can expect to see include: Spaghetti Bolognese, Chicken Wraps, Butter Chicken, Fried Rice, and all time favourite is our Shepherds pie!

We have created a variety of Afternoon Tea’s: Apple crumble with custard, Chocolate Crackle Slice, Veggie platters, Variety of sandwiches.
